Best Yoga and Pilates Studios in Alicante (2026)

Where to actually move well in Alicante and the Costa Blanca, from old-town Pilates studios to hot yoga and mountain retreats.

Moving to a new country tends to do one of two things to your body: either you finally have the time to look after it, or the wine and late dinners catch up with you. Either way, Alicante has a genuinely good spread of yoga and Pilates studios, and a few of them are as good as anything you would find in a bigger city. Here is where we send people who want to move well, grouped by where you are on the coast.

Pilates in the city

Minimal Studio Pilates on Calle Castaños in the old town is our top pick if you want real attention. The classes are small enough that they feel more like personal training, the space is clean and calm, and a near-perfect rating from close to 90 reviews backs it up. Beginners are looked after properly here.

Out by the beach, Pilates House in Playa de San Juan is the one for San Juan residents. Good equipment, small classes, and instructors who actually care about your technique rather than just running you through a routine.

Yoga in the city

Beyoga on Poeta Campos Vasallo is for people who take their yoga seriously. This is not a filtered-for-Instagram studio. The instructors focus on alignment and proper, mindful practice, and it has built a loyal following of locals and expats who keep coming back.

Dharma, tucked onto Calle del Pozo, is the calm-from-the-second-you-walk-in option. Soft lighting, minimal décor, and a focus on actually slowing down. A lovely spot whether you are experienced or just starting.

If you like a challenge and do not mind the heat, Bikram Yoga Spain in Playa de San Juan runs the traditional 26-pose hot yoga sequence in a room held around 40°C. It is a newer addition with only a handful of reviews so far, but if hot yoga is your thing it is the one place doing it properly.

Up in Altea and the valleys

Altea's old town punches above its weight. True Pilates is a small, calm studio with expert instruction and a perfect rating, and Centro de yoga Iyengar does precise, alignment-focused Iyengar yoga with props that make the poses work for any level. Both are worth the trip if you are anywhere near Altea.

Further inland in the Jalón valley, LaVi Sound and Yoga Academy in Xaló blends yoga with sound healing. It is a bit different and genuinely calming, and a good shout if you have settled in the interior rather than on the coast.

For a full reset

If you want more than a class, La Crisalida Retreats in L'Alfàs del Pi, about 15 minutes from Benidorm, runs proper yoga and meditation retreats in the hills. Good for when you want to switch off completely for a few days.

And if you would rather sweat

Not everyone wants to breathe slowly. If you want to actually work hard, both CrossFit Alicante and CrossFit Lucentum in San Juan are welcoming boxes where beginners train next to seasoned athletes and the coaches fix your form instead of just counting reps. Good places to land if you are new in town and want a ready-made community.
